 HOW IS IT WORK : 
the network can be use to communicate with each other using LAN.

 EXAMPLES:

  • MAN-  Metropolitan Area Network

DESCRIPTION: convert 2 or more LAN in large area of city or places, MAN is in between LAN and WAN

HOW IS IT WORK :
 to connect with some LAN through backbone

 EXAMPLES:  
DST, Telbru




  • WAN-Wide Area Network


DESCRIPTION: 
develop over large area by joining LAN together
HOW IS IT WORK :
connect by using virtual private network (VPN) which provide protection and allow to transfer data over the internet

EXAMPLES:
telephone companies, satellite system


  • PAN- Personal Area Network


DESCRIPTION: 
(Bluetooth) connect device that are nearby or close to one person

HOW IS IT WORK :
 it transfer and exchange data between two device 

 EXAMPLES:
 Bluetooth, wireless mouse, cordless headphone
